Dr. James Stahl, Chief Medical Officer
James E. Stahl, M.D., C.M., M.P.H., chief of General Internal Medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, is a practicing clinician and an outcomes researcher with expertise in decision science, operations research, and health technology assessment. As the Chief Medical Officer of TruDataRx, Dr. Stahl oversees the clinical data process and development of comparative effectiveness Evidence Reviews. He provides the valuable insight needed to ground our analysis of existing drug efficacy research in the realities of medical practice and the healthcare industry.
Dr. Stahl attended medical school at McGill University and completed a joint internal medicine residency between North Shore University Hospital - Cornell Medical School and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He then completed a National Library of Medicine fellowship in Clinical Decision Making, Informatics and Telemedicine at New England Medical Center - Tufts University School of Medicine. While there, in addition to his training he worked on the clinical decision analysis consult service, developed and helped implement several internal hospital guidelines and decision support tools and helped develop and grow the international telemedicine program. He then went to University of Pittsburgh, where he worked in the area of liver allocation policy and completed his MPH at the Graduate School of Public Health and received the award for best health policy thesis.
His research interests include discrete-event simulation, operations research, decision analysis, meta-analysis, cost-effectiveness analysis, utility assessment, game theory, market design, ethics in the context of limited medical resources and applying industrial design to problem solving in health care.
Dr. Lester “Pete” Peck, Vp of Pharmacy
Lester “Pete” Peck R.Ph., Pharm. D. leads the development and implementation of pharmacy programs for TruDataRx clients, liaising with clients and clinical team on strategies for improved outcomes and reducing cost.
Dr. Peck managed several successful independent retail pharmacies early in his career and eventually was recruited to help create and manage two independent 340B pharmacies from scratch. The first featured private ownership and the second was owned by a Federally Qualified Health Center. He then served as president of Smith and Peck Pharmacy Management Services Inc. and in 2008 was selected to participate in Rotary International’s Group Study Exchange Program where he practiced and studied pharmacy at several locations in New South Wales, Australia. With this experience he founded his own pharmacy, Pete’s Pharmacy, which was featured in the April 2012 issue (Volume 134, No. 4, pages 30-37) of America’s Pharmacist.
After eventually selling the pharmacy he then went on to found Peck Maple Company, LLC., which produces and distributes Certified Organic Vermont Maple Syrup. Captain Peck is currently serving as the Pharmacy Logistics Officer for the 804th Medical Brigade in the United States Army Reserve. Prior to that, he was the Chief of Pharmacy for the 405th Combat Support Hospital and a Pharmacist for Rite Aid Pharmacy. In addition to his duties at TruDataRx he is also a Clinical Pharmacist at Mount Ascutney Hospital and Health Center, a Dartmouth-Hitchcock affiliate. He currently serves on Springfield Medical Care Systems Diabetes Self-Management Education Program Advisory Council and Springfield Hospital (Critical Access FQHC) Board of Directors.
Dr. Peck graduated Cum Laude from the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy, was licensed as a Pharmacist, and then graduated Suma Cum Laude with a Doctorate in Pharmacy from Temple University School of Pharmacy.
Jenna Lyall, VP of business development
Jenna Lyall is TruDataRx's Vice President of Business Development. She is responsible for developing new partner and channel programs, managing strategic projects, and serves as a member of the sales team. Jenna investigates opportunities for TruDataRx to expand their presence in the market, and evaluates opportunities to work with new partners and devise new ways to connect with qualified clients.
Jenna started her career in strategy consulting, at Bain & Company. She spent the bulk of her career in Marketing, developing experience in all aspects of the function, from performance-based growth marketing, to brand and project management. She brings a unique perspective to the team, having worked at both large Fortune 500 retailers as well as early-stage ecommerce startups. Jenna graduated from the University of Virginia where she studied Economics and French literature.
Dr. Christine Tsakiris, clinical account manager
Christine Tsakiris, PharmD, BCPS, is a Clinical Account Manager with TruDataRx. She brings a diverse set of experiences to her current role, where she manages client interactions to ensure all client needs are met. She works closely with the clinical team to translate TruDataRx’s comparative effectiveness reviews into actionable results for clients. Christine also collaborates with the analytics team to monitor the implementation of TruDataRx products and uncover new clinically-based savings opportunities.
Prior to joining TruDataRx, Christine served as a pharmacist in the hospital setting, where she performed clinical and formulary management services. For one of the largest PBM’s, Christine served as a pharmacist in the Pharmacy Advisor, Prior Authorization, and Medication Therapy Management (MTM) programs. She enjoys teaching and was a Health Educator at the Halle Heart Children’s Museum, the only cardiovascular learning facility in the nation. She is currently a mentor for The Terrier Network at Boston University.
Christine received her doctorate from Midwestern University Chicago College of Pharmacy and her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of San Diego. She became a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist in 2018. Christine loves history, and in her spare time enjoys reading and hunting for new items for her medical antique collection. Christine’s primary career goal is to improve healthcare delivery by optimizing evidence-based solutions that drive high-value care. Dr. Kerry Mills, Senior Scientist
Dr. Kerry Mills is TruDataRx’s Senior Scientist. She is responsible for the Evidence Program in the company, where she sources, compiles and interprets the evidence base for TruDataRx’s products. She works with the analyst team, the Chief Medical Officer and Clinical Pharmacist, as well as the management team to produce accurate, fit-for-purpose data and evidence reviews.
Kerry is a scientist who is an expert in evidence-based policy and meta-analysis. She obtained her undergraduate degrees in Arts and Science at the Australian National University (Canberra, Australia), qualifying with first-class honours. She then undertook a PhD at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research - Australia’s top research institute - before taking up postdoctoral work in Heidelberg, Germany. After returning to Australia, Kerry worked at the national food regulator for six years. Kerry is a adjunct professional associate at the University of Canberra, where she continues to lecture and publish high-impact scientific research.
Bethany Sneathen, Clinical Data Analyst
As an analyst for TruDataRx, Bethany Sneathen manages our clinical data process and collaborates with our statistician and Chief Medical Officer to develop Evidence Reviews on the comparative effectiveness for drugs used for a variety of medical conditions. Along with our pharmacist, Bethany also analyzes client claims data to monitor ongoing cost-reduction strategies and identify and investigate new potential savings opportunities.
In addition to her background in pharmaceutical data analysis, Bethany has experience conducting a long-term observational study on treatment for opioid use disorder and clinical experience in dermatology. Bethany is a graduate of Princeton University. At Princeton, Bethany studied molecular biology and health policy, taking particular interest in microbiome research.
jake casale, Business Analyst
As a business analyst for TruDataRx, Jake Casale manages our claims data process and works with our technical team to support effective analytic operations. Jake also works with our clinical account managers to analyze client claims data and help clients understand and realize potential new savings opportunities.
Jake has experience working on a variety of healthcare systems strengthening efforts that cross academia, NGOs, and the private sector, including capacity-building programs in Uganda and South Africa and health information technology development in clinical rheumatology. Jake graduated from Dartmouth College, where he concentrated his studies in global health, economic development, and psychological and brain sciences.
David Printy, Chairman and Co-Founder
David plays a strategic role in business development for TruDataRx in addition to his role as Chairman. His partnership with Co-founder and TruDataRx CEO, Catalina Gorla, has transformed a need into a practical yet powerful analytical solution that combines clinical effectiveness research with cost data to reduce employer and employee cost while improving quality of care. His role as founding managing director of the Institute for Clinical Research and Training at UMDNJ (Rutgers) informs his understanding of the value of combining clinical research and cost data to improve the value of pharmacy benefit programs.
David’s experience leading healthcare organizations where health benefits are major cost factor drove him to find a smart solution to improve care, save costs and improve employee satisfaction -TruDataRx was the answer. In addition to leading complex healthcare systems he also served as senior executive of the largest private and public medical schools in America. His role as director of human resources at a 4000-team member organization provided him with hands-on knowledge of the value of properly structured health benefits in improving employee performance.
David did his undergraduate studies at William Penn University and attended the University of Southern California’s Institute of Safety and Systems Management while serving as a pilot in the USAF.
Catalina Gorla, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer
Catalina serves as the Chief Executive Officer for TruDataRx. In this role, Catalina works closely with the clinical team and clients of TruDataRx to ensure an exceptional customer experience that results in meaningful savings in pharmacy benefits driven by rigorous evidence-based analytics. Catalina also works with the TruDataRx development team to build the analytical tools and software that drive the value for clients.
Catalina has spent the past 6 years working in healthcare in a range of roles involving research commercialization, enterprise formation, and operations development. Previous to founding TruDataRx, Catalina was the founding COO of Informulary, Inc, a company committed to improving health by providing doctors and patients with the information they need to make wise decisions about prescription drugs, and also held positions at Dartmouth College as the Program Manager of innovations in translation and new initiatives at the Dartmouth Center for Healthcare Delivery Science. Through these roles, Catalina worked with researchers and business professionals to create self-sustaining entities that address needs in the health care delivery system. Prior to Dartmouth, she worked as an economist for a large investment management firm, focusing on international financial markets. In this role, she developed new tools and analytical reports on investible foreign markets. Prior to her work in economic research, Catalina completed a financial leadership rotation program in the insurance industry. Catalina graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College.
Gregg Fairbrothers, Director
Gregg Fairbrothers serves on the board of directors for TruDataRx. Mr. Fairbrothers represents the investor group that has backed TruDataRx, a group of seasoned investors with experience in insurance brokerage and consulting services, health care, and business formation.
Mr. Fairbrothers is the President of Groups-Recover Together, a for-profit medical startup that provides affordable treatment helping people to recover from opioid addiction. He is also a founder and board member or chair of currently active technology companies in biotechnology and medical information technology, and two nonprofit organizations, The Institute for Biomedical Entrepreneurship and the Eleazar Wheelock Society.
Previously and for fourteen years, Mr. Fairbrothers was the founding director of the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network, Dartmouth College, and an adjunct professor of Business Administration in entrepreneurship at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. In 2004 he founded the Dartmouth Regional Technology Center (DRTC), Inc. a free-standing New Hampshire non-profit corporation that operates a 55,000 sq. ft. technology incubator facility developing technology-based innovations with the potential for significant social impact, and in 2006-2009 co-founded the Apologia student journal at Dartmouth and the Eleazar Wheelock Society, where he still is a trustee. In 2016 he joined the Institute for Biomedical Entrepreneurship in Cambridge, MA as a co-founding board member.
Mr. Fairbrothers has more than 22 years of experience in almost all operational and investment-related aspects of the upstream oil and gas industry, including exploration, exploitation, production, marketing, acquisitions and divestment, joint ventures, and corporate finance through banks, multi-lateral institutions, limited partnerships and public markets (including IPOs and unsolicited purchases). Prior to returning to the Upper Valley in 1999, he was President and founder of a mid-sized international oil and gas producer, Samson International, Ltd., as well as President of Samson Resources, Inc., and a Director of the companies’ parent holding company, Samson Investment Company.
Mr. Fairbrothers earned an MS in Geology from Rutgers University, and received his MBA from the University of Tulsa. He graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Earth Sciences from Dartmouth College.
Dr. Attila Meretei, Advisor
Attila Meretei has received his MD (Summa cum Laude) from Semmelweis Medical School in Budapest, Hungary. He earned an MBA from Columbia University Graduate School of Business and a MSc in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University. He worked for the cardiovascular medical device unit of Johnson & Johnson for seven years, where his roles included marketing, communications, and product development. After leaving Johnson & Johnson in 2005 he launched two medical device start ups in cardiovascular medicine, both succeeding in their charter of creating regulatory approved medical devices and commercializing them. He participated in the buy-out and relaunch of a Johnson & Johnson subsidiary, NDC (now Confluent Medical) where he acted as part of the management team and was responsible for business development for five years. After NDC, he founded several medical device companies in fields ranging from cardiovascular medicine to image processing and diagnostics. Mr. Meretei is the President of AS&K Communications, Inc., the US subsidiary of a London-based health care communications and consulting agency, and the Chief Commercial Officer of the AS&K Group.
