Senior Leadership

Catalina Gorla

co-founder & CEO

Catalina serves as the Chief Executive Officer for TruDataRx. In this role, Catalina works closely with the clinical team and clients of TruDataRx to ensure an exceptional customer experience that results in meaningful savings in pharmacy benefits driven by rigorous evidence-based analytics. Catalina also works with the TruDataRx development team to build the analytical tools and software that drive the value for clients.

Catalina has spent the past 12 years working in healthcare in a range of roles involving research commercialization, enterprise formation, and operations development. Prior to founding TruDataRx, Catalina was the founding COO of Informulary, Inc, a company committed to improving health by providing doctors and patients with the information they need to make wise decisions about prescription drugs, and also held positions at Dartmouth College as the Program Manager of innovations in translation and new initiatives at the Dartmouth Center for Healthcare Delivery Science. Through these roles, Catalina worked with researchers and business professionals to create self-sustaining entities that address needs in the health care delivery system. Prior to Dartmouth, she worked as an economist for a large investment management firm, focusing on international financial markets. In this role, she developed new tools and analytical reports on investible foreign markets. Prior to her work in economic research, Catalina completed a financial leadership rotation program in the insurance industry. Catalina graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College.

James Stahl, MD, MPH

Amanda Hacker

  • Relevant Experience: Amanda is a licensed EMT who is currently studying biomedical sciences. Her future plans include attending medical school and becoming a surgeon. She believes that her current role will help her deepen her knowledge of prescription drugs and further enhance her career as a physician.

Amelia (Mia) Kirby

Andreea R. Nemes

Clinical Pharmacist

  • Education: Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy in Nashville, TN.
  • Relevant Experience: Lead the prior authorization/appeal adjudication process, analyze pharmacy claims data for cost savings opportunities, and act as a drug information resource/SME for the client team. Participate in weekly clinical team meetings for performing clinical effectiveness review and discussing complex clinical cases, assist in design and maintenance of the formulary to ensure our clinical recommendations are executed according to the savings strategy, as well as leading, coaching, and developing the efforts of our clinical operations support team.

Dave McLean, PhD

Director

Dave is a veteran of the healthcare industry and is a seasoned CEO and founder. He is a co-founder of Emerging Therapy Solutions, and previously led several managed care technology companies, including Medication Management Systems, Inc. (acquired by Genoa HealthCare), NovoLogix (acquired by CVS), and RxHub. Dave served as the CEO of United Resource Networks at UnitedHealth Group, a business that managed organ and tissue transplants for 45 million payer lives, and SVP at American MedCenters, an HMO management company. Dave holds a BS in Pharmacy from Ohio State University and a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota.

Gregg Fairbrothers

Co-Founder & Chairman of the Board

Gregg Fairbrothers serves on the board of directors for TruDataRx. Mr. Fairbrothers represents the investor group that has backed TruDataRx, a group of seasoned investors with experience in insurance brokerage and consulting services, health care, and business formation.

Mr. Fairbrothers recently stepped down as President and founding board member of Groups-Recover Together, a for-profit medical startup that provides affordable treatment helping people to recover from opioid addiction. He is also a founder and board member or chair of currently active technology companies in biotechnology and medical information technology, and two nonprofit organizations, The Institute for Biomedical Entrepreneurship and the Eleazar Wheelock Society.

Previously for fourteen years, Mr. Fairbrothers was the founding director of the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network, Dartmouth College, and an adjunct professor of Business Administration in entrepreneurship at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. In 2004 he founded the Dartmouth Regional Technology Center (DRTC), Inc. a free-standing New Hampshire non-profit corporation that operates a 55,000 sq. ft. technology incubator facility developing technology-based innovations with the potential for significant social impact, and in 2006-2009 co-founded the Apologia student journal at Dartmouth and the Eleazar Wheelock Society, where he still is a trustee. In 2016 he joined the Institute for Biomedical Entrepreneurship in Cambridge, MA as a co-founding board member.

Mr. Fairbrothers has more than 22 years of experience in almost all operational and investment-related aspects of the upstream oil and gas industry, including exploration, exploitation, production, marketing, acquisitions and divestment, joint ventures, and corporate finance through banks, multi-lateral institutions, limited partnerships and public markets (including IPOs and unsolicited purchases). Prior to returning to the Upper Valley in 1999, he was President and founder of a mid-sized international oil and gas producer, Samson International, Ltd., as well as President of Samson Resources, Inc., and a Director of the companies’ parent holding company, Samson Investment Company.

Mr. Fairbrothers earned an MS in Geology from Rutgers University, and received his MBA from the University of Tulsa. He graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Earth Sciences from Dartmouth College.

Peter Behnke

Director

Mr. Behnke has been an investor and operator in Healthcare, Insurance, Communications and Real Estate for more than 20 years. He graduated with a degree in Physical Therapy and Athletic Training from Quinnipiac University and became well recognized nationally as one of the first to be Board Certified in Sports Physical Therapy. Having held leadership positions in both privately and publicly held companies Mr. Behnke was responsible for bringing healthcare to the work-place in an integrated model for some of the largest employers and healthcare insurers in the US.

He has held a number of Director and Officer level positions in Healthcare Administration with financial and operational responsibilities for several large Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapy practices as well as the East Coast operations for HealthSouth’s (Formerly NYSE: HLS now EHC) Diagnostic Imaging business. In 2001 after the sale of HealthSouth’s Diagnostic Imaging business to Private Equity, Pete became a partner at HealthCare Risk Specialists, a national Medical Malpractice Insurance Brokerage. HealthCare Risk successfully completed its sale to Integro in August of 2015. Integro’s US operations were subsequently acquired by Epic Brokers in January of 2019. Currently Mr. Behnke remains actively involved with EPIC Broker’s Healthcare Practice while continuing to support his real estate and private company investments. Current investments include: Mutualink, iBlades, Goodman Coffee Roasters, Physician Insurance Services, Next Therapy Solutions and TruDataRx. Peter has served as a Board Member for TruDataRx since August 2017, supporting TruDataRx’s mission of empowering management and employees to take control of their pharmacy costs and clinical outcomes with comparative effectiveness data analytics.

Rebecca Shanahan, JD

Director

Rebecca is recognized as a pioneer and national leader in the specialty pharmacy industry. In 2010 Rebecca joined the Board of Avella Specialty Pharmacy. In 2014, she took on the role of CEO, organically growing Avella from ~$565M to $1.5B in specialty pharmacy. Avella was sold to Optum Pharmacy in 2018. Rebecca was a founding member, president and board member of the National Association of Specialty Pharmacies.

Reinhard Ambros, PhD

Director

In his career Reinhard J. Ambros PhD, has gained broad experience in international leadership positions at Roche and Novartis in corporate strategy, BD&L and pharmaceutical product development. From 2005-2017 he served as the global head of the Novartis Venture Fund and built one of the largest and most active corporate Biotechnology Venture Funds in that period. Currently, Dr. Ambros serves on the board of TruDataRx and several other private and public biotechnology companies in Europe and the US.
